Thank you for your interest in Synergy Fitness™. In this bio, I will briefly outline my path in the fitness industry and give you a little background information about my experience in the health and fitness field. What started ten years ago as a hobby has grown into a life long passion.
I received a Bachelor of Science in 1997 from Penn State University, where I studied psychology, athletictraining and nutrition. Upon graduation, I enlisted in United States Coast Guard where I attended Federal Health and Fitness Leadership School. Itwas herethat I received the necessary training to become a wellness coordinator and trainer for a company of 30 members.
As coordinator for three years, I kept fitness libraries, taught nutrition programs and trained members and their families. My responsiblities also included muscular development, cardiovascular conditioning programs, nutrition programs, fat loss, smoking cessation, sculpting and toning techniques as well as specialized training for tactical law enforcement.
While serving in the Coast Guard, I furthered my education at the United States Sports Academy. There I studied ACSM guidelines and practices receiving an international training certification from this graduate school of sport science .
I feel this well-rounded background will help me meet the needs of a diverse clientele and bring you strict standards in fitness. I am also a graduate of South Eastern School of Neuromuscular Therapy and I am licensed in Neuromuscular Therapy and Massage Therapy.
I am very dedicated to health and fitness. I always seek new avenues in which to expand my fitness knowledge and offer more to you as a client. It gives me great satisfaction to see an individual reach their goals and improve their quality of life. As founder of Synergy Fitness, I promise to bring you cutting edge, state of the art training techniques as the world of fitness unfolds and reveals its secrets.
The mission of Synergy Fitness is to bring your mind, body and spirit together, creating in you, a level of fitness that far exceeds the sum of its parts.

Heather Carper AS, CI-CPT
Heather M. Carper, AS, CI-CPTAs a former frumpy, overweight, tired Mom and housewife, I understand the importance of proper nutrition, cardiovascular and resistance training. “Nothing has changed my life more than discovering the power of these three keys. I know that no matter where you are, you can change your body, mind and spirit by incorporating all of these. It’s science, pure and simple. There is no magic pill, but what happens to you will feel like magic.”
After personal training with Brian Devlin and dropping from a size 12 and 28% body fat to a size 2 and 13% body fat, I fell in love with fitness and the amazing effects it has on a person when introduced in a “real-life” way. I wanted to bring the same experience to other frustrated, confused women. Taking the courage and strength gained during my own transformation, I decided to change careers and become a part of Brian’s team.
In addition to my Health Science degree, I am now a Cooper Institute Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Fit and certified Spin instructor who loves seeing her clients faces light up when they see success and experience the capabilities of the body God blessed them with.
